Tens of thousands of textile and clothing workers have lost their jobs in recent years, and due to recently expired import quotas, it is expected that thousands more will be left without jobs. The Conseil du Quebec is pressuring the federal government to limit the imports from China by implementing safeguards measures.

The Canadian government has the power to take action now, but they continue to drag their feet. We will need your support to keep pressuring the government until it uses its power to protect our industry, our workers and our entire community.

Please send a fax to David Emerson, the Canadian Trade Minister, demanding that the government protect the apparel industry by implementing safeguards on Chinese imports.
